  1. Welcome to InfiNet, or the International Freedom of Information Network.
  2. Enclosed you will find all necessary configuration files for echoing this net
  3. QWK-style.
  4.  
  5. All standard InfiNet rules apply, and the application (INFI-QWK.APP) still
  6. needs to be completed and approved.  Please familiarize yourself with the
  7. contents of the "INFINPOL.TXT" and "INFINSET.TXT" files (in those areas that
  8. do not apply solely to non-QWK transfers), as these documents form the basis
  9. for this network.  Once your application has been received and approved by
  10. the Network Administrator, ALL conferences will be available for transfers.
  11. Only Sysops and Test will be available until that time.
  12.  
  13. It is recommended that any system that is new to QWK mail transfers should
  14. consider adding only 10-15 conferences at a time, to verify that there are no
  15. configuration errors.  Duplicate checking will be done by the HUB system, and
  16. crossed conferences will NOT be tolerated, as this causes problems for ALL
  17. systems in the network.  As InfiNet is primarily FTS (Fido-standard), it is
  18. vital that no QWK system create a cross/dupe problem, as it makes it much
  19. more difficult to track these types of problems without the routing info
  20. that is contained in FTS-standard messages.

  22. If you need an ASCII configuration file, please use the one provided, editing
  23. the necessary information for your system. The file name is BOATYARD.CFG and
  24. should not be changed unless your software documentation indicate that it is
  25. required.  If your BBS software or QWK Door has the capability to import the
  26. CONTROL.DAT file, that is also included.

  28. If you have any questions or need any assistance on QWK networking:
  29.  
  30. 1) Consult your documentation for the BBS/Door you are using, for any
  31.    specific requirements.
  32.  
  33. 2) Verify that your BBS software is capable of both importing and creating
  34.    NET STATUS QWK Packets.  The software at the QWK Hub will NOT import a
  35.    non-Net Status QWK packet!!
  36.
